Thank You Teacher! Mulberry Tear Bear

My daughters are just about to finish school and Nursery at the end of June for their summer holidays, so we thought t would be nice to make a little Mulberry Bear Topper for a "thank you teacher" card. 
I made up my little Bear, using only the head, paws and feet, and used him to decorate a Quickutz Revolution "Chalk Board" Die cut.
The Teachers hat is made from a Quickutz 2x2 Graduation Cap die, and the little Diploma is made using the Quickutz 2x2 Diploma die.
The whole thing is finished off by a little red shiny apple, which I made using my Silhouette.
The blackboard is great for writing on a message of thanks- if you use a white opaque pen, then rub around it with some white chalk, it really does look like a little used blackboard!

I'm working on making tutorial up with images so that you can see how easy it is to make these cute little Bears.

Wizard of Oz "Dorothy and Toto" Tear Bears

My daughter, Sarah, loved the Wizard of Oz and spent many hours when she was in hospital watching it over and over again!  Even when she was a bit wobbly on her feet, she was determined that she was going to wear the little ruby slippers we bought for her.  Her favourite soft toy was "Mucky Pup", so I thought we should do a little tear bear tribute- Mucky Pup makes a good Toto, don't you think...?

Mama Mia! Mulberry Bear...

I made this little tear bear to put on a card for my sister-in-law when she found out she was pregnant.  She thought it was quite funny!

The "peek-a-boo" tear bear is made from just using the head and paws, and was accessorised using a "Pregnancy Test" 2x2 die from Quickutz.

Ahoy There! Pirate Mulberry Bear

This has to be one of my favourite little Mulberry Bears!

I just love the little Pirate Ship die cut, which was made using a Quickutz 2x2 die.  The hat was from Bosskuts, and the "waves" are made using a Sizzix Yellow Originals die.

Notice this little pirate tear bear's eyepatch- this was just another nose stuck onto his eye and a line drawn for the strap! 

"A Little Bit Country" Mulberry Bear!

Thought you might like to see a little Mulberry Bear dressed up for a bit of country dancing!

I dressed this little bear, made from a cream coloured mulberry paper with cowboy boots from the Quickutz range, and a little cowboy hat, also from Quickutz.  The scarf is from the Sizzix Originals Doll Winter outfit die.

Here's one of the first little Tear Bears I ever made- quite cute, isn't he...?  He eventually developed into "Mulberry Bear".  My daughters and I had fun creating other little "friends" for him which I'll be showing you in future posts...  Keep checking back for more...!

Here's a bit of background...

This is an image from my old website, where I sold all the supplies you need to make your own little "Mulberry Bear" tear bears.  Unfortunatley, I had to close down the website when my little six year old daughter, Sarah, was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour back in 2008. 
Sadly Sarah passed away ten months later, and I have not been able to get back into my crafting properly again until recently.  I have rediscovered the joy of annoying my husband with all my crafty staff strewn all around the house, and I am looking forward to getting my ebay shop up and running again. 
Here you will find all the supplies which were formerly available on my website, along with a great range of Quickutz and other brand dies, so that you can make your own little tear bear creations!  Keep checking back here often, as I will be showing examples of my work, and how to "dress" your little Mulberry Bears with die cuts and accessories, along with examples of other projects I have made...
